Welcome to Stono River Riding Academy!

We are a premier equestrian facility located in scenic Johns Island, SC, just minutes away from Kiawah Island and Downtown Charleston.  We are situated on 300 beautiful acres.

Stono River Riding Academy is a family owned business. Michelle and David Folden are so excited to be operating their business in the location that has formally been known as Stono River Stable. They are very thankful to the Reid family for this wonderful opportunity.

Michelle brings years of professional horse riding, care, and experience to the Lowcountry. Her goal is to make Stono River Riding Academy something not currently found in our area.....a full scale riding academy allowing equine enthusiasts to enjoy all aspects of horsemanship with Dressage as the underlying influence in all of our programs
